Kristian Williams

Associate Professional Counselor

Welcome! My name is Kristian Williams, and I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor. I specialize in working with children and adolescents ages 5-17, who are struggling with a variety of mental health and behavioral health issues. Children process situations differently than adults and experience many different stages of life but may not be able to express their feelings due to fear, not feeling comfortable, respect or not wanting to anger or disappoint loved ones. I value the importance and effectiveness of involving families in treatment, leading to better outcomes. I understand that unpacking feelings in a safe space and addressing them can help clients heal, process, and thrive.

I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University. Prior to my time at Indigo Therapy and Wellness, I worked in outpatient psychiatry, as well as the Partial Hospital Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) setting.

I wholeheartedly understand the need for a counselor to be able to meet clients where they are. I strive to make clients therapeutic journey as comfortable as possible. My approach is culturally sensitive and LGBTQ+ friendly. I offer a safe space for clients to express themselves and feel heard, without judgement. I utilize humor, a down-to-earth personality and a direct, yet gentle approach in my work with clients. With compassion, empathy, honesty, and patience, I help clients work through issues while identifying their inner strengths to be a happier and healthier version of themselves.

I look forward to working with you and your child to increase and implement skills to overcome your current challenges. I offer a free 10-minute phone consultation to go over general questions or concerns.

I am under supervision of Brian Conner, LPC, CPCS.
